December Income Report 2019 – Back on the up

Monthly income is back on the up! After a few low months, things are looking up again. While not quite reaching the $1,000 per month threshold again; it is good to increase my monthly income.

Since the last income report, I have made two posts on the blog. One was a short book review for Motivated Money by Peter Thornhill. I wrote this review a number of years when I first read the book and found it only recently. I hope some people may find it interesting. I also posted about Spaceship Voyager’s new web app for their investment platform. If you haven’t checked Spaceship out yet, read about my experience with their micro-investing platform here.

I also had a stint of adding some more blogs to the list as well as generating a RSS feed file containing all the blogs on that list. The best to keep up to date on all the personal finance happenings in Australia.

Let’s jump into December’s income:

Passive Income

InvestmentAmount
APN AREIT Fund$53.32
APN Asian AREIT Fund$54.56
Charter Hall PFA Fund$119.63
UBank Interest$12.55
Whitefield Dividend$461.25

Passive income again coming from the usual suspects with a Christmas present from Whitefield. The dividend from them is always welcome at this time of year.

My RateSetter investment is now finished up and will no longer be producing any income.

RateSetter are running a special offer for the new year! If you invest $1,000 in the 1 month rolling or 5 year markets they will give you a bonus $100. You need to sign up through this link to access the offer before 29th of February 2019. I will also receive $50 if you meet the criteria for the offer. This offer could be a good opportunity to try it out and see if it is a good fit for your investment strategy.

Side Hustle Income

Side Hustle/OtherAmount
English tutoring$113.24
Xinja ApplePay Bonus$10

Side hustles are back on the menu! I started doing some English tutoring which has turned out to be quite lucrative. I only did three hours of tutoring this month and should be doing more throughout January and February. I will likely also being doing a post on how it all works. Also I got a small bonus for using ApplePay with one of Australia’s new neo banks, Xinja. I hope to have a review of their offering in the next moth.

A total of $822.55 this month!

null

As mentioned last month, this moth was expected to be much better than the previous month. Almost cracking the $1,000 per month threshold again. Hopefully I can keep it up throughout 2020. Again please stay tuned for my year in review for 2019. I have been a bit slack but will get it finished before the end of January.

As always hope these updates are informative and helpful. Please leave any questions or comments you have below.
